Jim Elliff responds to article on Scripture’s sufficiency

Our fellow Missourian and friend Jim Elliff wrote the following “Letter to the Editor”, published in the latest issue of The Pathway.

“You are SO right on this issue of sufficiency of Scripture (“The Bible is inerrant, but is it sufficient?” The Pathway, Aug. 15). After reading through one of our SBC age-level magazines, I realized that the entire magazine had been written with almost no reference to Scripture. Yet there were several articles quoting experts, mainly psychologists. This is fairly typical. I don’t think people realize that the younger men coming up in our seminaries will not stay with us unless we demonstrate that the Bible we fought for is the authority we use. Use it, or lose them.”

Also, in the same issue is a “Wisdom of the Pages” book review of Jim’s latest book tackling the issue of baptism. As is expected, Jim provides clarity to this much-debated subject.
